Do not try to shut off the cuckoo if you can hear it calling. At times the cuckoo is extremely fast, sometimes slower. The small cuckoo is still a worldwide phenomenon.
The clock will nonetheless operate with less room for those weights to drop, however, you will want to pull'' the weights more frequently....
